Thankful!!!!

I have so much to be thankful for this year. I am first thankful for my Lord that has given me the three most amazing gifts which is my salvation, my wife and my son. As all of you know, this year, have been a journey for our family. I truly believe that we could not have gone through this journey without our Lord and our family. We would like to thank all of our family and friends for your love, support, wisdom and just taking time to lend a listening ear. We understand that everyday is a blessing from our Lord and plan to make to most of every minute we are given. Thank you Mollie for teaching me to love and for always taking up for me. Thank you JB for making me a kid again as well as given me a smile everyday. I count myself very blessed to have all that has been given to me and plan to take care of and cherish every moment that is to come. God you alone have provided it all and for that I am extremly GREATFUL!!!!! God bless and Happy Thanksgiving!!!!! Michael

September has been a big month for the Jackson family. I have been settling into my role as being a mother and working at the same time. It has been quite a challenge, but I am glad to be back at work. JB has been adjusting to getting up each weekday morning and settling into somewhat of a routine. Michael is off on Mondays so they have a daddy/son day getting things done around the house. Tuesday through Friday he spends the day with my mom who is keeping him for us. This has been a huge blessing as we have had our struggles with our precious son. JB is up to 11.5 pounds and is 24.5 inches long. He is changing almost every day. Our latest discovery is our smile and our feet. We are entertained daily as he has learned that if he moves his feet, the objects on the bouncer or rocker will move and make noise. God is so good as he continues to show us his joy through our child. JB is sleeping through the night which we never suspected to happen this early. We know we better count our lucky stars for that!!

During Labor day weekend, we were able to see Uncle Paul, Aunt Kellie, and cousin Parker for the first time. This was a real treat as we were able to be together and see how they were adjusting to a little one as well. Parker is five weeks younger than JB. Parker is so precious and makes me proud to know that my little brother is a daddy. We also were able to see my cousin Jonathan, his sweet wife Lori with baby girl #3 on the way, and their two daughters Hannah and Madeline. On Sunday night, the whole family got together to for dinner at Aunt Ruth Ann's house.

Michael and I are so blessed and amazed by how parenting changes your whole perspective. God had changed our minds and hearts in the last 12 weeks of parenting. We are very excited to see where he is going to take us with many more adventures. Please continue to pray for JB. We thought that the sodium issue might be somewhat resolving but this week proved different. His sodium is back down, and we are on to see a nephrologist as soon as we can get an appointment. J.B. is continuing to grow however in spite of this issue. I have taken many biology classes but it has hit home that one minor issue can affect the whole body. Being a DAD

On July 1st of this year my life changed forever. I became a Dad. This is something that I have wanted to be for a long time. The first thing that came to my mind is that "OH MY GOODNESS I AM THE SPIRITUAL LEADER AND PORTECTOR OF THIS LITTLE MAN". It really hit home that I have to totally provided for my wife and little buddy. Then God reminded me that I will not go through this alone. I was quickly reminded of the song by Philips, Creig, and Dean that says "I want to be more like you because he wants to be like me." Lord, allow my son to see you in every area of my life at all times and to be geniune in all areas of my spiritual walk. I know that my little buddy is truly a blessing and miracle from God and I will cherish him forever. So being a Dad is wonderful and exhausting but so worth every minute of no sleep and poopy diapers. I would not change my life for anything in this world for my life is so full and blessed. Thank you Lord again for my wife and son and for your wonderful grace. I can't wait for the next one!!!!! Michael

One Month Old

Wow! One month ago, I was giving birth to our very first child. July has been a month of mixed emotions for Michael and I both. We have experienced one of the neatest journeys through the birth of our son, but we have leaned more on our amazing God together than in the last three years of our marriage through the mysterious wonder of our son's condition. F.R.O.G.- thanks to the NICU respiratory therapist who gave us a frog and encouraged us one late night at NICU. However, J.B. continues to do well. He is still sleeping through the night except at 2:30 A.M. for his middle of the night feed. We are amazed at his many sleeping positions, noises that we hear him make, and how he continues to put down the 23% salt solution to keep his electrolytes balanced. J.B. and I have three more weeks together before I go back to work so I am very grateful for that. Tomorrow, we go to the specialist once more. We are praying that J.B. has gained a considerable amount of weight which is crucial, his electrolyte levels are continuing to improve, and that maybe some of the blood work which they have done is back. Many ask when Michael and I are out, "Where is the baby?" Well, J.B. stays close to home still but hopefully in the next couple of weeks we will get out a little more. As soon as my dear cousin Kim shows me how to put shutterfly pictures on here, I will have plenty of pictures for you to see. He is a handsome little man!!

If you looked at Michael and I before July 1st and told us that our life would change, we would have knodded and smiled at you. Can I tell you now that we really know what you mean? We have been truly blessed and had a wonderful time with our blessing from God. Michael took Wednesday to Wednesday off after we brought J.B. home from the hospital. This was truly a blessing as we had three doctors appointments to go to, two of them being in Greenville. With questions still to be answered, J.B. is continuing to grow and do very well each and every day. Suprisingly and we may be eating our words, HE IS SLEEPING AT NIGHT!! Michael actually has to wake him up to give him his bottle and medicine. Please do not tell us not to wake a sleeping baby because our beloved son is a special case. Ha! JB has enjoyed visits with Mimi and Poppi, Nana and Papa, Uncle Barry, Aunt Ruth Ann, cousins Matthew, Kim, Philip, and Braewyn, and other special friends. We are still keeping him in until we get an answer of some sort from the doctor. They are still baffled by what our son has exactly. However, we are just trusting in the Lord to continue to do a good work in our son. If we were to explain what exactly is wrong, most of you would give us a deer in head light stares. We are just simply telling everyone that he has a adrenal gland (the orange looking gland that sits above your kidney) problem which causes him to loose salt. He is continuing to take the salt solution in his bottle three times a day and steroid twice a day. Thanks so much for our friends and continued support through phone calls and prayer. We are truly blessed to have family and friends that surround us. God is good, all the time!!!

He is Home!!!

Praise the Lord!! We brought J.B. home on Tuesday afternoon. The doctors felt comfortable sending him home as he has to continue being on the medications. Yesterday, we took him to Dr. Amrhein (pediatric endocrinologist) yesterday. He is also puzzled with everything in his lab work and electrolytes. He feels that there is some adrenal gland insufficiency of some sort but not sure what. They are doing more blood work and sending it off to a top endocrinology lab in the country. JB's numbers are looking better. Just continue to pray that they can get to the bottom of the matter and that he will continue to improve as he is daily. My favorite saying even in the midst of all is "God is good, all the time!! All the time, God is good!!" We are so greatful for all the prayers and phone calls. We are truly blessed to be surrounded by wonderful friends and family. Updates to come later. Sorry if they are a couple of days late!!

Update on J.B. 3

Greetings!! Everyone. Michael and I were able to get some news on our son. The doctor this weekend ordered an ultrasound of his head and adrenal glands. J.B. has gotten better at taking his medicine. Who would want to drink salted breast milk? So for the news.... Dr. Wood, the fourth neonatologist who has been over him told us today that he feels that J.B.'s electrolyte issues are due to bleeding on his right adrenal gland. Dr. Wood feels that this is something that will take care of itself and will continue to be treated until the bleeding has ceased. This is better news as the other condition would be life long and medicine would have to be given for the rest of his life. Dr. Wood also said that his left adrenal gland was normal, and that with congenital adrenal hyperplasia, both adrenal glands would be enlarged. We are not out of the woods yet; however, J.B.'s blood work is beginning to look more normal. As soon as he is discharged from the hospital, we will follow up with the pediatric endocrinologist within a couple of days. Please continue to pray for our little guy. He is a fighter and a gift from God that is indescribable to us!! We are so blessed to serve a wonderful God who continues to show his faithfulness every day!!! Promise, more pics to come soon.

I know that I have mentioned the staff at SRHS NICU, but I just want to praise them again for the wonderful care that they give the babies in the unit. J.B. is making progress as his numbers are starting to look better in the blood work. They finally were able to send off more blood work to determine the problem. We, as parents, will have to keep tabs on him that he stays alert, eats well, and does all the stuff a baby loves to do. As of this morning, he was doing all of these. The doctor wants to monitor him over the weekend, get blood work back, and if all goes well, we will go home with him on Monday. He has been put on sodium chloride (salt pill) and another medication which is basically a steroid (the good kind). For those that will want to see our bundle of joy, when you come to our house, you must wash your hands!!! His little body is already having to build immunity but also the steroid is suppressing his immune system. We love you all, but we love our little boy most.

Here is the latest our friends. JB is still in NICU, but continuing to do well. He is totally off the IV fluids at this point. His blood sugars are under control and holding well;however, other levels have not been what they should. On Sunday, they began to worry about his potassium levels as they were 9.4 (normal below 6.0-6.5). To treat this condition, they would normally give him insulin, but due to the blood glucose issues, this was not the choice of treatment. The doctor decided to give him suppositories to see if the levels would go down. This was not fun to watch as he was not the happiest camper. Praise the Lord! His potassium is steadily going down each blood stick. However, last night we learned that his sodium levels are now not where they should be as they are to low. The doctor talked to us and said that he feels that there may be something going on with his electolyte levels since these three levels have been the issue. We are waiting on one test to come back and then to determine what other test might need to be done. Dr. Cole mentioned that there is a possibility that this could be linked to a condition called congenital adrenal hyperplasia. We are not sure but if it is, then this is something that can be treated. Dr. Cole is great and we are trusting the greatest Physician to continue to do a good work in our little boy. As for Michael and I, we are holding up pretty well. I am sorry if I have not returned your phone calls or have talked to you, but I know that you would understand. Soon, you will be able to meet our bundle of joy. Here are some more pictures from the weekend.

Hello! all. Just wanted to let you know Joseph Brooks Jackson was born on July 1, 2009 at 6:46 P.M. He weighed 7 1b. 13 oz. and was 22.5" long. He had a shaky start into this world as the umbilical cord was somewhat wrapped around him. Let me tell you God is so good and faithful as He has proved this to us through this birth process. Due to the fast pace of J.B. moving through the birth canal, he was not able to receive the pressure he needed to clear everything out of his lungs so therefore in addition to the umilical cord, he had some fluid on his lungs. As the laboring process was being completed, the doctor said "NICU", and the post partum horomones kicked in quickly. That was probably the toughest abbreviation in my mind that I have ever heard as it hit close to home for us. We were told that J.B. would be there for about 4 hours and would be sent up to our room if all was well. Breathing was clear; however, blood sugar was not. They were able to bring him up for about an hour and a half, but he was quickly taken back. However, God continues to show his faithfulness. He was admitted and Dr. Cole told us yesterday that he felt that J.B.'s conditions were all due to stress of the delivery. Today, Friday, J.B. is going to start milk and will gradually move off of the IV with hopes that his blood sugar will remain elevated. The nurses here at Spartanburg Regional are wonderful and NICU team has been nothing short of amazing. That is all we have for you!! We will let you know what more is to come as the weekend progresses. Mollie will most likely go home on Saturday but not sure until doctor comes in today. Please continue to pray. We are doing well as this has been one of the hardest events I have faced but know that only this is the beginning with our precious son. As I write this blog, I am patiently waiting for the arrival of our son as I lay around on bed rest. For those that have had to go on bed rest for longer than what I am experiencing, more power to you women. I went for my 37 week check up and thought I would be coasting like the other appointments. Unfortunately, I got a different response. The doctor told me to go home and do absolutely nothing that night and be back in the morning. My bp was not good, and they did not like the swelling. On Wednesday, Michael, mom, and I went back. I saw the doctor, and he did not come back so quick. I knew something was not right or going to be good. Well, little did we know he said you are going home if your bloodwork comes back okay or you are staying in the hospital. They admitted me and by the nurse's reaction to my arrival and findings after examining me, she really thought I would be staying. However, the blood work was fine, and they sent me home to do absolutely nothing. Ugh!! We went back this morning thinking for sure they would keep me, they sent me home for bed rest over the weekend! We will see the doctor on Monday, and they will examine me to determine the next step: go home, get put in the hospital, or have baby. The doctors have all said that J.B. will make his arrival in the next couple of days. At this point, C-section is the most probable form of delivery because my cervix has not changed. Michael will keep you posted!! As for now, I must just chill as that is very hard to do. As Michael says,"Your daddy is coming out in you right now."

Hello Friends and Family! Greetings again from the Springs. I just wanted to give a shout out to my wife. She is an amazing woman and is taking this pregnancy in stride. I am so proud of her and the great attitude that she has these days. Please continue to pray for us as all of you know this is our first pregnancy and at times we are on edge. Greetings from the Springs!!! In case you have not heard our next Great news is that Mollie and I will be the proud parents of a little baby BOY. We are anxiously awaiting his arrival for the second week in July. His name will be J.B. which stands for Joseph Brooks. The name Joseph comes from my first name and Brooks from her mothers madian name. Hopefully next time we blog we will have a beautiful face to show each of you. Jackson's Fall Season

This fall has brought about many events for Michael and I. Michael's schedule at church will be very hectic for the month of October, but very rewarding as well. The youth had something called REACH which reaches out to the unchurched of our area. There are events such as home high school tailgating, Octoberween "Fear Factor," Harvest Fest, Community Celebration (revival), and the regular church events going on. I am continuing to travel and work at Wofford with the volleyball. I will begin with the women's basketball beginning next Monday. Needless to say, we are very busy people, but God is truly blessing us daily.
This past weekend we were able to visit with Paul and Kellie, my brother and our sister-n-law. It was such a delight to be able to see them. We love them so much and miss them.

HELLO EVERYONE, THIS IS MICHAEL!!!!! I FINALLY FIGURED OUT HOW TO BLOG AND AM SO EXCITED!!! Y OU KNOW ME IT IS THE SMALL THINGS IN LIFE THAT MAKE ME HAPPY. MOLLIE AND I NOW BEGIN OVERCOMING THE OBSTACLE OF HANDLING BOTH WORK AND SCHOOL!!!! I START BACK MONDAY AND AND REALLY LOOKING FOWARD TO GROWING DEEPER IN GODS WORD THIS COMING SEMESTER!!!! OUR MINISTRY IS OVERFLOW ING AS THE LORD CONTINUES TO BLESS OUR MINISTRIES AT BOTH BSFBC AND WOFFORD ON A DAILY BASIS. WE CAN NOT THANK THE LORD ENOUGH FOR ALL HE HAS GIVEN US OUR FIRST YEAR OF MARRIAGE AND CONTINUE TO JUST SEEK AND OBEY AS HE LEADS US TO OUR NEXT CHAPTER OF LIFE. Since February....

These past several months have been so very busy for Michael and I. We have been knee deep in school work and working as well. Michael has recently been in transition of jobs. He is now the Administrative assitant to the Youth Minister at Church. I was very busy with the Wofford tennis team and taking Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy at Converse. God has continually showed up in our lives as we have been through some trying time with jobs, etc.
I do not need to forget to mention that my other cousin, Matthew, his wife, Kim, and son, Philip, have a new addition to the family. Braewyn Faith Brooks was born on May 2, 2007. She is beautiful and is bringing our family so much joy. Michael and I are not quite ready for children, but we rejoice in the day if God allows us to have children of our own. We love you guys!
Last night, I probably experienced the most humbling event in my life. Michael was ordained into the ministry. A part of that service was men praying over us. I did not think that I would cry, but believe you me, I did. God was so evident and there as i listened to the words and prayers of many men who have been a big part of my life and Michael's life. One being his dad, who prayed over us first, and the other Matthew, one of two cousins who I respect and have looked up to for all of my life. There were many others, but they were very special. God is so good and I am so blessed to have men who I can look to for guidance.

HANNAH IS NOW A BIG SISTER!! ONE DAY, HOPEFULLY, MICHAEL AND I WILL BE ABLE TO EXPERIENCE THAT JOY!!! WE ARE PRAYING FOR GOD'S TIMING!!!

WOW! WHERE HAS JANUARY AND FEBRUARY GONE TO? THE JACKSON HOUSEHOLD HAS BEEN EXTREMELY BUSY WITH SCHOOL AND WORK. AT THIS TIME (9:40 AM), I AM USUALLY DOING MY GRADUATE WORK FOR MY COMPARATIVE VERTEBRATE CLASS, BUT I AM CAUGHT UP FOR NOW. PRAISE THE LORD!! MICHAEL ARE DEEP INTO CLASSES SO OUR DAYS ARE CONSUMED OF CLASSWORK AND WORK. HOWEVER, GOD IS SO GOOD, AND HE IS GOING TO GET US THROUGH. IT IS TENNIS SEASON, SO YES I HAVE BEEN BRAVING THE COLD WEATHER SITTING OUT AT TENNIS PRACTICE EACH AND EVERY AFTERNOON. MY WONDERFUL INLAWS GAVE ME MONEY FOR CHRISTMAS. I PUT THAT TO GOOD USE WITH A NICE WARM JACKET AND UNDER ARMOUR COLD GEAR. THANKS MAMA AND DADDY!! I SPEND EACH DAY AFTER PRACTICE DRIVING HOME IN MY HEATED CAR TO WARM BACK UP AND THEN BRAVE THE COLD ONCE MORE TO GET IN THE HOUSE TO FINISH OUT THE EVENING.
MICHAEL AND I HAVE BECOME BIG FANS OF AMERICAN IDOL. OUR TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY EVENINGS ARE SPENT WATCHING AMERICAN IDOL. THERE IS A GUY (CHRIS SLEIGH) WHO WENT TO SCHOOL WITH HIM, AND HE HAS MADE IT THE TOP 24 OF AMERICAN IDOL. WE ARE ANXIOUS TO SEE HOW FAR HE MAKES IT.
MICHAEL AND I HAVE ALSO BEEN SO BLESSED WITH WONDERFUL FRIENDS THAT HAVE COME INTO OUR LIVES SINCE WE HAVE GOTTEN MARRIED. OUR SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS HAS TRULY BEEN A BLESSING. THEY HAVE REACHED OUT TO US AND HAVE HELPED US GROW SO MUCH IN OUR WALK WITH CHRIST AND OUR MARRIAGE. I AM SO BLESSED TO HAVE A HUSBAND LIKE MICHAEL. HE MEANS THE WORLD TO ME AND I CAN NOT BELIEVE WE HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR ALMOST NINE MONTHS. WOW!!
TWO MONTHS OF 2007 AND GOD HAS SHOWED US SOMETHING EACH AND EVERY DAY IN OUR LIVES WHETHER IT HAS BEEN SOMETHING LITTLE OR BIG. I AM EXCITED TO SEE WHERE GOD WILL TAKE US THE REST OF THE YEAR!! LIFE AS A CHRISTIAN IS NEVER MEANT TO BE EASY, BUT IT IS SO EXCITING. MICHAEL AND I GET EXCITED DAILY AS WE LOOK TO OUR CREATOR AND FATHER TO GIVE US DIRECTION ON WHERE WE ARE SUPPOSE TO BE. FOR ABOUT THREE MONTHS, MOM AND DAD HAD BEEN PLANNING OUR CHRISTMAS PRESENT FROM THEM. SHE DECIDED THAT WE SHOULD GO TO THE BUILTMORE HOUSE AND TO SEE THE GINGERBREAD HOUSES AT THE GROVE PARK INN. FINALLY, OUR CHRISTMAS PRESENT HAD BEEN DELIEVERED ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9TH.

THE WEEK PRIOR TO GOING WAS CRAZY AS MICHAEL AND I FOUND OUT THAT WE WERE GOING TO HAVE TO GET A NEWER ENGINE FOR THE CAR. BUT BECAUSE I HAVE AN AMAZING FATHER-N-LAW, THAT WAS NOT GOING TO BE A PROBLEM BECAUSE HE IS A RETIRED MECHANIC. THEN ON WEDNESDAY, WE FOUND OUT THAT PAUL HAD MONO. HE STAYED IN THE BED ALL DAY WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, AND PART OF FRIDAY. THEY ARRIVED SAFELY ON FRIDAY NIGHT!!

FINALLY, SATURDAY HAD ARRIVED AND WE WERE ALL VERY EXCITED TO BE ABLE TO BE TOGETHER. THE FIRST EVENT OF THE DAY WAS THE BOILING SPRINGS CHRISTMAS PARADE. I WAS KIND OF EXCITED BECAUSE I HAD NOT BEEN IN ABOUT FOUR YEARS. WE WENT AND SAT IN MRS. HENDERSON'S YARD BECAUSE THE PARARDE STOPPED AT THE RED LIGHT PAST HER HOUSE.

THE NEXT DESTINATION WAS TO THE PARENTS' HOUSE TO EAT LUNCH. MOM HAD MADE A POT OF VEGETABLE SOUP FOR THE FAMILY. THEN WE WERE READY TO LEAVE!!

WE ARRIVED AT THE BUILTMORE HOUSE AROUND 2:OO. MOM HAD TICKETS FOR THE CANDELIGHT TOUR AT THE BUILTMORE HOUSE SO WE WENT AROUND THE GROUNDS AND THE GREENHOUSE.

AFTER TOURING THE GROUNDS AND ADMIRING THE BEAUTIFUL SCENERY BEHIND THE BUILTMORE HOUSE, WE DECIDED THAT WE WOULD GO AND EAT. WE ENJOYED A WONDERFUL DINING EXPERIENCE AT TEXAS ROADHOUSE (ONE OF MY VERY FAVORITE RESTAURANTS). BECAUSE WE HAD TO WAIT A LITTLE WHILE AT TEXAS ROADHOUSE, I KNEW THAT OUR TIME TO SEE THE GINGERBREAD HOUSES WOULD BE LIMITED. WE HAD ABOUT 30 MINUTES TO LOOK AT ALL THE CONTEST WINNERS. THEY WERE AMAZING AND YOU COULD TELL THAT MUCH TIME WENT INTO THE GINGERBREAD HOUSES.

AFTER THE GROVE PARK INN, IT WAS TIME FOR US TO HEAD BACK TO THE BUILTMORE HOUSE FOR OUR CANDELIGHT TOUR. OUR TOUR WAS SET FOR 9:15 AND THE TOUR LASTED FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF. BECAUSE WE WENT ON THE CANDELIGHT TOUR, WE WERE ABLE TO GET GUIDED TOURS BY WAY OF HEAD SET. THAT WAS PRETTY NEAT AND COOL TO HEAR THE DIFFERENT STORIES ABOUT EACH ROOM. THE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS WERE AMAZING AND EACH ROOM IS SO UNIQUE. I WILL POST MORE PICTURES SOON.

THIS TRIP INDEED WAS ONE OF THE BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENTS I HAVE RECEIVED. WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR: FAMILY TIME AND A CHANCE TO LEARN ABOUT HISTORY.

Grandma's surgery was a success. The doctor took part of her lymph nodes and had them read by a pathologist. They found nothing. Praise be to God!! They then removed the breast and she was quickly done with surgery. She was so awesome and had a great attitude the whole day after waiting until 4:30 (surgery scheduled for 12:30) throughout the whole process. I stayed with her Thursday night, and she was soon ready to be leaving the hospital before lunch. She has been doing great!! I am staying with her while she is at my parent's house during the day. I am not with her because she can not do much but because she wants to do too much. She has been such a huge encouragement to see because she has done so well and had a great attitude. Today, we will go to the doctor for a follow up. I am sure he will be impressed!!

Tomorrow, My grandma will be having a masectomy. Please pray for a quick recovery in the hospital and a pleasant recovery as she stays with my parents for two weeks. God is so good and I have learned so much from her. I love you, Grandma!!

My grandma went to the doctor on Friday, December 1st to find out the results of her CT scan. Praise be to God that the cancer was nowhere else. After finding out the results, she decided the best thing for her was a masectomy. She is scheduled to have surgery December 14th. She will be in Spartanburg for two weeks following her surgery. Please pray for the surgery process and a quick recovery so grandma can get back to her daily activities at the Retirement center. She has been so blessed by wonderful people in Laurens and the friendships she has made there.

Grandma's Report

I thought that when volleyball was over, I would have time to sit down and chill out. However, that is not how things turned out. Last Monday, I knew that my grandma was going to get her report from the doctor and from what we thought, nothing serious was going to come of it. However, that was not the case. Grandma went to the doctor to soon find out that it was cancer and that the cancer she had was like mom's but larger. This devistated her, and she was emotionally distraught. I was kicked out of the training room for the rest of the week by my dear friend and fellow coworker, Elizabeth. She said I needed to be there. Grandma came back on Tuesday and stayed with Michael and I through Thanksgiving. She was able to get away from the retirement center and be with family to encourage her through this situation. I have been through this twice with mom. God has given me the strength for these two battles. I know that with God's guidance, I will be able to help her deal with this. The doctor said that she had two options: take more tissue out and then radiation or a total masectomy. We will see on Friday as she goes to get the report of her CT scan.
During her stay, she went where ever I went. She went with Michael and I to the Thanksgiving service at First Baptist Campobello on Tuesday night and then to Thanksgiving Dinner at Fairfield Inn on Wednesday. We cooked, laughed, and Michael gave her a hard time. Grandma's are so special, and I have learned to cherish the time I have with my only grandparent. Trust me! You learn a lot!!!!
We serve such an awesome God!!! My grandma has served in the greatest capacities, and she is an example of Christ's servant heart. I love you, Grandma!!!

Tomorrow, my almost 81 year old grandma will be having a breast biopsy. Please pray for God's guidance and healing during this time. We do not know what is to come. We hope for the best that it is a cyst and nothing more, but nothing has really been said. We have been through this with my mom my freshman year in college. She was diagnosed with insitu carcinoma (not sure about the spelling) and had to go through 8 weeks of radiation. I know that God has a perfect plan and leads us every step of the way if we follow him daily. God is good, all the time!!!!

Good Times with Old Friends

Last night, Michael and I went to the house of my dear friend Kristel to have a Fabulous Four reunion. In high school, Kristel, ny dear friend Erin, my dear friend Lindsay, and I all call ourselves the Fabulous Four. I was number 4 because my birthday was last out of all of us and so I was the baby of the bunch. However, we shared many memories growing through our late junior high and high school years. Linda, Lindsay's mom, was not married at the time so we lived at Lindsay's house. We took many trips together, went various places, and shared in all the high school events that every high school student gets to experience. Well, anyways, Lindsay and her husband David live in Charleston so the times of getting together are very limited. Last night was one of the few opportunities. We were together for about three hours. We laughed and talked. Arpit, Kristel's husband, cooked wonderful hamburgers and we had some wonderful Apple pie. Friends are so special and I am so glad to have had three wonderful friends growing up. Paul always felt like they were his sisters. Believe you me, he learned a lot from them!!!

YES, THAT IS RIGHT. TWO MORE WEEKS OF VOLLEYBALL. UNFORTUNATELY, MY GIRLS HAVE STRUGGLED THIS YEAR. THEY HAVE WORKED SO HARD AND UNFORTUNATELY, THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO SEE THE BENEFITS IN WINS RECORDED THIS SEASON. IF THEY ONLY KNEW HOW GOOD THEY ARE GOING TO BE IN A COUPLE OF YEARS. THIS WEEKEND WRAPS UP THE HOME GAMES FOR THEM AS THEY HAVE APPALACHIN STATE AND DAVIDSON. WE HAVE TWO GAMES AFTER THIS WEEKEND AND THEN THE TOURNAMENT THE WEEK BEFORE THANKSGIVING. I HAVE THROUGHLY ENJOYED THIS SEASON. THE GIRLS ARE GREAT GIRLS AND I HAVE A LOT OF FUN WITH THEM. GO WOFFORD TERRIERS!!!

The Fair

A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO MICHAEL AND I WERE ABLE TO GO MEET MOM, DAD, PAUL, AND KELLIE AT THE SC STATE FAIR. THE SIX OF US HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO SEE EACH OTHER REALLY SINCE WE HAVE ALL GOTTEN MARRIED, SO WE WERE SUPER EXCITED TO BE ABLE TO SEE THEM. DAD DECIDED THIS YEAR THAT HE WAS GOING TO TAKE TWO WEEKS OFF TO GO WORK AT THE FAIR WITH HIS FRIENDS. SUPRISINGLY, WHEN WE SAW DAD, WE THOUGHT HE WOULD BE TIRED AND WORN DOWN. HOWEVER, HE WAS HAPPY AS A LARK, AND LOOKED YOUNG EVEN THOUGH HE HAD WORKED FOURTEEN HOUR DAYS. MICHAEL AND I GOT THERE AROUND LUNCH TIME AND WE ATE SOME LUNCH. THEN WE WALKED AROUND WITH MOM LOOKING AT THE DIFFERENT EXHIBITS. KELLIE AND PAUL GOT THERE ABOUT THREE AND WE TACKLED THEM WHEN WE SAW THEM. OH, HOW I HAVE MISSED MY BROTHER AND NOW HIS BEAUTIFUL, KELLIE. THEY ARE SO CUTE AND GOD HAS GOT SOME AMAZING THINGS IN STORE FOR THEM. WE ATE SOME MORE AND FINISHED OFF THE NIGHT WITH A RIDE ON THE FERRIS WHEEL. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! AT THE FERRIS WHEEL, MICHAEL AND I SAW FRIENDS FROM GREENWOOD WHO I WENT TO SCHOOL WITH (CHARLOTTE, SANDY, AND SHERI). THEY WERE SO AWESOME! IT WAS LIKE WE PICKED UP WHERE WE LEFT OFF WHEN WE SAW THEM. AFTER A WONDERFUL EVENING OF SEEING EXIBITS, CATCHING EVERY LITTLE SHOW, AND WATCHING THE COW SHOWMANSHIP, IT WAS TIME TO SAY GOODBYE. since the beginning of september, my schedule has increasingly gotten busier. i have been working, sleeping, working, sleeping. well, that is my life right now. a little time with michael....not nearly enough but the time together is valuable because he works so hard at the fairfield inn daily and sometimes more than five days a week. my girls are so great and i have a good time! i do spend lots of hours with them. our first trip was to maryland where we came out 2-1. the girls played hard. so, if you would like to know where i am and what i am doing just look at www.wofford.edu/athletics. there you will find where i am and what i am doing. i also work with tennis. so, my days are running from 7am to 7pm. i know one day it will pay off. well, my girls are coming in a minute. got to go!!! hello to all and God is so good!!!

That is right. I have finally passed the hardest test I have ever taken in my life. As of 8/16/06, I am now Athletic Training Certified. I knew that I was going to get through this. I have learned what perseverance is and my verse through this whole time has been from the first book of James "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." Jame 1:2-4 God is so good!!!!!! JUNE 5TH- MOM GOT A 2005 FORD TAURUS. IF YOU KNOW MY DAD WELL, YOU KNOW THIS IS A BIG DEAL FOR MOM!!!
JUNE 15TH: I BEGAN WORKING TENNIS CAMP

JUNE 17TH: WE TRAVELED TO ATLANTA TO BE A PART OF ALEX AND KATIE'S WEDDING. OH! HOW THERE WERE TEARS AS THEY SAID THEIR OWN VOWS!!

JUNE 18TH- 29TH- I HAD TENNIS CAMP ALL DAY!! IT WAS SO HOT! I PAINTED MYSELF BLACK AS I PAINTED THE BENCHES FOR THE TENNIS COURTS.

JUNE 30TH- WE WENT TO THE FAMILY REUNION AND THEN TO A WEDDING IN ABBEVILLE.

JULY 2ND- PAUL AND KELLIE HAD A LOVELY WEDDING SHOWER. THEY WERE SO EXCITED....

JULY 5TH-12TH- I WORKED VOLLEYBALL CAMP

JULY 14TH- 16TH- WE PACKED UP THE CAR, PICKED GRANDMA UP, AND WENT TO CAMDEN/BETHUNE TO CELEBRATE WITH PAUL AND KELLIE FOR THEIR LOVELY WEDDING. THERE WERE MANY TEARS SHED AS I WATCHED MY BROTHER COMMIT TO THE WIFE HE HAD BEEN WAITING FOR FOR A LONG TIME. GOD IS SO GOOD AND I HOPE THEY WILL NOT GET EMBARRASED BUT I AM GOING TO TELL IT ANYWAYS. THEY KISSED FOR THE FIRST TIME AT THEIR WEDDING. THIS IS SOMETHING THEY ESTABLISHED FROM THE GET GO AND THEY COMMITED TO EACH OTHER. WHAT A TESTIMONY!!! PAUL ALSO WROTE KELLIE A BEAUTIFUL POEM. HE HAD IT RECORDED BY ONE OF HIS FRIENDS. OH! HOW SWEET. THE RECEPTION WAS ONE OF THE MOST FUN WEDDINGS I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. MY DAD WAS EVEN OUT THERE DOING THE TWIST. IT WAS THE FUNNIEST THING I THINK I HAVE EVER SEEN.

JULY 22- WE TOOK A BIG DEEP BREATH!! WE WERE SO EXAUSTED!!!!

JULY 29TH- MICHAEL WAS IN HIS FRIEND, FRED'S WEDDING. IT WAS VERY SWEET AND ELEGANT. WE WERE ABLE TO SPEND THE WHOLE WEEKEND WITH TRAVIS AND AMANDA WHO MARRIED US. THEY ARE SO AWESOME!!!!!

AUGUST 1ST- MY CONTRACT BEGIN FOR ANOTHER WONDERFUL YEAR AT WOFFORD.

AUGUST-6TH- I TOOK MY ATHLETIC TRAINING EXAM FOR THE FOURTH TIME. I FEEL VERY GOOD ABOUT THIS SO WE WILL SEE. I HAD SO MANY WARRIORS IN PRAYER FOR ME THAT DAY! I AM SO BLESSED TO HAVE WONDERFUL FAMILY, CHURCH FRIENDS, AND PEOPLE WHO DID NOT KNOW ME WHO WERE PRAYING THAT DAY!!! GOD HAS A PERFECT PLAN AND I KNOW THAT HE IS GOING TO USE ME. AS I HAVE QUOTED OFTEN...GOD IS GOOD...ALL THE TIME....BELIEVE ME, YOU WILL KNOW WHEN I PASS THIS TEST!!!! MICHAEL SAID HE WILL TAKE ME FOR A STEAK DINNER.!!!!!!'

MICHAEL AND I HAVE A BEAUTIFUL HOUSE, HE IS THE ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER AT FAIRFIELD INN IN SPARTANBURG, AND I AM CONTINUING TO WORK AT WOFFORD COLLEGE AS A GRADUATE ASSISTANT ATHLETIC TRAINER...AND BY THE WAY, I AM NOT GIVING UP...I WILL BE TAKING MY TEST AGAIN IN AUGUST. MOST OF YOU GUYS KNOW THAT I HAVE HAD STRUGGLES WITH TAKING TEST. THAT HAS BEEN THE STORY OF MY LIFE SINCE LAST JUNE. I AM AN ATHLETIC TRAINING MAJOR AND IN ORDER TO WORK IN THIS PROFESSION, I MUST TAKE A CERTIFICATION TEST. AFTER TAKING IT THREE TIME, I HAVE ONLY PASSED ONE PART OF THE THREE SECTIONS ON THE TEST. MOST OF THE SCORES I HAVE GOTTEN WERE NOT FAR FROM THE PASSING SCORE. THIS HAS BEEN VERY FRUSTRATING. MOST PEOPLE WOULD QUIT, BUT I AM NOT. I LOVE THIS PROFESSION AND WANT TO PURSUE THIS FOR AT LEAST A LITTLE WHILE ( WHILE MICHAEL AND I ARE IN THE UNITED STATES). THE NEXT TIME I WILL TAKE THE TEST IS AUGUST 6TH. THAT LEAVES ME SEVERAL MONTHS TO PREPARE FOR THE FOURTH TIME. THIS TEST HAS BEEN RATED AS THE HARDEST TEST ANY PROFESSIONAL HAS TO TAKE AND I AM AN EXAMPLE OF THAT. HOWEVER, I KNOW THAT AFTER FINDING OUT THIS I AM NOT A DIFFERENT PERSON BECAUSE OF IT. I AM STILL THE SAME OLE MOLLIE JUANITA CAMP (SOON JACKSON) AND THAT GOD LOVES ME VERY MUCH.
OTHER THAN NOT PASSING THIS CRAZY TEST, I AM DOING VERY WELL. I WILL BE GETTING MARRIED IN A MATTER OF THREE MONTHS AND THAT IS SO SPECIAL TO ME RIGHT NOW. I CAN NOT WAIT TO BE WITH THE MAN GOD HAS DESIGNED FOR ME AS LONG AS GOD ALLOWS US TO BE ON THIS EARTH. PAUL WILL BE GETTING MARRIED AS WELL AND IS LOOKING FOR A CHURCH TO SERVE AS A YOUTH MINISTER.

FOR MY FRIENDS THAT READ THIS, PLEASE PRAY FOR TWO THINGS. KIM, MY COUSIN MATTHEW'S MOM, HAS A MOM THAT IS IN THE HOSPITAL RECOVERING FROM COLON SURGERY TO REMOVE A TUMOR. AS ALWAYS, I STAY PRETTY BUSY SO IT IS HARD FOR ME TO LET YOU KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON WITH ME. SO LET ME TAKE A MOMENT TO LET YOU KNOW WHAT I HAVE BEEN UP TO. I FINISHED THE FALL SEMESTER WITH A 3.76 TOTAL GPA AFTER TAKING 19 TOTAL HOURS AT CONVERSE COLLEGE. I SAY THAT BECAUSE I WAS STRUGGLING AND PULLED THROUGH. I HAVE NEVER FELT SO GOOD AFTER LOOKING AT MY GRADES IN THE FALL. DURING EXAMS, MY PARENTS AND I DID NOT HAVE POWER FROM THURSDAY TIL MONDAY NIGHT. I TOOK OFF TO GWOOD TO SEE MY FRIENDS CRYSTAL P., NICOLE, AND CRYSTAL B. GRADUATE FROM LANDER. THEN I HAD A WONDERFUL LUNCH WITH CRYSTAL P.'S FAMILY, KATIE T., AUDREY, AND THE SMITH FAMILY. AUDREY TREATED CRYSTAL TO HER CUTE LITTLE GRADUATION CAPS THAT SHE MADE FOR ME IN MAY AND FOR SOME OTHERS IN HER FAMILY. IT WAS A WONDERFUL WEEKEND.
I ALSO HAD A WONDERFUL SUNDAY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS PARTY AT THE HOME OF MAX AND RITA, TWO MY SS TEACHERS. WE HAD THE CHINESE GIFT EXCHANGE, AND I WOUND UP GETTING A FREE WEEKEND AT THE FAIRFIELD INN. IT IS A LONG STORY, BUT I GOT ONE.
THE WEDNESDAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS, I DECIDED THAT I MIGHT NEED TO GET SOME CHRISTMAS SHOPPING DONE. I DRAGGED MY POOR BROTHER OUT FOR THE WHOLE DAY. I DID HAVE SOME SUCCESS, BUT NOT ALL THAT I WANTED TO GET DONE. HOWEVER, EVERYONE HAD SOMETHING FROM ME BY THE TIME THAT I SAW THEM AROUND CHRISTMAS.
FROM CHRISTMAS EVE UNTIL MONDAY, I HAD BEEN TO FIVE DIFFERENT CHRISTMAS GATHERINGS WITH MICHAEL'S FAMILY AND MY FAMILY. I GUESS THAT IS THE WAY IT GOES WHEN YOU GET MARRIED EVEN THOUGH WE ARE STILL ENGAGED. HOWEVER, I HAD A WONDERFUL TIME WITH EACH FAMILY MEMBER THAT I SAW.
MY FAVORITE PART OF CHRISTMAS WAS GETTING TO SEE ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITE PEOPLES IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD, MY COUSIN JONATHAN. AS MOST OF YOU KNOW, MATTHEW AND JONATHAN HAVE BEEN MY FAVORITEST PEOLE IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD. JONATHAN, HIS WIFE LORI, AND THEIR PRECIOUS DAUGHTER, HANNAH, CAME TO STAY FOR TWO WEEKS (LORI AND HANNAH DID). JONATHAN GOT TO STAY FOR A WEEK AND THEN CAME BACK TO TOWN TO GO TO A WEDDING IN JOHNSON CITY, TN. MY FAMILY AND I GOT TO HAVE LUNCH WITH MATTHEW, KIM, PHILIP, JONATHAN, LORI, HANNAH, GRANDMA, AND AUNT RUTH ANN THE MONDAY AFTER CHRISTMAS. IT WAS SO GOOD TO BE TOGETHER AS ONE EXTENDED FAMILY. I KNOW THAT WE ARE ALL GROWING UP AND IT IS HARD FOR US TO BE TOGETHER, BUT WHEN WE ARE TOGETHER, I LOVE IT!!!!
I ALSO GOT TO SPEND TIME WITH ONE OF MY OTHER CLOSEST COUSINS, MARIE. IT WORKED OUT PERFECT THAT SHE WAS ABLE TO COME STAY WITH ME. WE HAD A FAMILY GATHERING THE NEXT DAY (NEW YEARS DAY) AT MY AUNT AMY'S (AUDREY, DO YOU KNOW WHO THIS IS? HAHA!!). ANYWAYS, WE WENT TO PICKENS TO HAVE LUNCH AND HANG OUT WITH GRANDMA'S FAMILY. IT WAS WONDERFUL BEING AT THE HOME PLACE AS I LIKE TO CALL IT. MOST ALL OF GRANDMA'S FAMILY WAS THERE. THEY ARE SO GREAT. MICHAEL WILL GET TO MEET THEM ONE DAY.
THE NEXT WEEK IT WAS TIME TO REPORT BACK TO WORK. I HAVE STARTED THE TENNIS SEASON. TENNIS COULD BE THE MOST BORING THING IN THE WORLD, BUT THE COACHES MAKE IT SO FUN FOR ME AS THEY CUT UP AND HAVE A GOOD TIME AT PRACTICE.
I HAVE ALSO REGISTERED FOR THE SPRING SEMESTER. I WILL BE TAKING TWO CLASSES AND A CLINICAL!!!
MICHAEL WILL ALSO BE MOVING BACK TO TOWN THIS FRIDAY, 1/20. HE STILL DOES NOT HAVE A JOB, BUT GOD WILL PROVIDE THAT IN HIS TIMING. THINGS WILL WORK OUT FOR US TO HAVE A PLACE TO LIVE, BUT WE HAVE GOT TIME. IT WILL COME!!!

I KNOW THAT I HAVE NOT UPDATED YOU IN A LONG TIME. WORK, SCHOOL, AND WEDDING STUFF HAS CONSUMED MY TIME. I HAVE ALSO HAD TO FIND TIMES TO ESCAPE TO GREENWOOD, MY ROOM, AND JUST GOING PLACES BY MYSELF SO THAT I CAN REGROUP FOR THE NEXT THING THAT I WOULD ENDEAVOR FOR THE WEEK. WELL, FIRST, VOLLEYBALL WAS A GREAT FIRST EXPERIENCE BEING ON MY OWN. THE GIRLS WERE GREAT AND I LEARNED SO MUCH IN THE WORLD OF ATHLETIC TRAINING. THE STAFF THAT I WORK WITH IS SO ENCOURAGING, AND WE HAVE SO MUCH FUN. HOWEVER, THINGS CAN BE STRESSFUL AT TIMES.
AS FOR SCHOOL, I HAVE FINISHED CLASSES AND HAVE TO COMPLETE TWO EXAMS NEXT WEEK. THIS SEMESTER HAS BEEN A HUMBLING EXPERIENCE AS I HAVE BEEN ON THE OTHER SIDE OF GRADES THIS SEMESTER. I HAVE DONE FINE IN MY TWO EDUCATION CLASSES, BUT PARASITOLOGY HAS BEEN A CHALLENGE. THE MORE I HAVE TRIED TO STUDY, THE WORSE I FEEL LIKE I DO. THE TEACHER HAS NOT BEEN VERY EASY TO WORK WITH AS WELL. WE WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS AFTER EXAMS. I KNOW THAT GOD HAS HIS PERFECT PLAN IN THIS. I WILL RECEIVE MY MASTER'S!!!!!
FOR THE WEDDING, MICHAEL AND I HAVE DONE LOTS OF LITTLE STUFF. WE HAVE GOTTEN OUR ENGAGEMENT PICTURES DONE, REGISTERED, DONE LITTLE STUFF FOR THE WEDDING. WE ARE RIGHT UNDER SIX MONTHS. JUST PRAY THAT MICHAEL FINDS A JOB WITH BENEFITS. I FEEL LIKE I COULD BE AT WOFFORD AGAIN NEXT YEAR, BUT WE WILL SEE. WE HAVE MANY OPTIONS FOR LIVING INCLUDING A POSSIBLE HOUSE THAT WE FOUND OUT ABOUT THROUGH OUR WONDERFUL FRIEND ERIN. IT IS ALL GOING TO WORK OUT, SO I WILL KEEP YOU UP TO DATE. I ALSO AM ASSIGNED TO JURY DUTY THE WEEK BEFORE I GET MARRIED SO I AM TRYING TO INCH MY WAY OUT OF THAT.
I HAVE DECIDED THAT I NEED A BREAK FROM SCHOOL SO I AM NOT GOING TO TAKE WINTER TERM AT CONVERSE. I WILL BE TAKING CLASSES IN THE SPRING.
IN MY MY SPARE TIME, I ALSO GET TO HAVE LUNCH WITH KIM. WE JUST SHARE WITH EACH OTHER WHAT OUR AWESOME GOD IS TEACHING US, LIFE, AND THE TRANSITION FOR ME INTO THE MARRIAGE LIFE. SHE IS SO WONDERFUL. SOMETIMES I SEE PHILIP, BUT FOR THE MOST PART HE IS NAPPING. WE GET TO TALK LOTS WHEN HE IS NAPPING SO THAT WORKS OUT GREAT EVEN THOUGH I LOVE HIM VERY MUCH!!!!

Greenwood Visit

THIS PAST SUNDAY NIGHT I WAS ABLE TO MAKE A SHORT TRIP TO SEE MY GIRLS IN GREENWOOD. AUDREY COOKED A WONDERFUL MEAL, AND IT WAS SO GOOD JUST TO SIT AT THE TABLE AGAIN AS THE GREENBRIAR FAMILY ALL OVER AGAIN (WHERE I LIVED LAST YEAR). THEY SHARED ALL THE THINGS THAT THEY HAD BEEN DOING, SHOWED ME SOME AMAZING VIDEOS OF THEIR CRAZY FRIDAY NIGHTS, AND THEN PICTURES OF THIS YEAR. THE FAMILY PICTURES ARE SO CUTE. THAT IS WHAT KATIE STARTED WHEN WE TOOK THE FIRST PICTURE AT THE CLEMSON TAILGATING PARTY LAST YEAR. WELL, ANYWAYS, THE BEST PART WAS THE ACCOUNTABILITY TIME THAT I WAS A PART OF LAST YEAR. IT IS SO NEAT TO SEE HOW GOD HAS USED THOSE GIRLS AT LANDER AND TO SEE WHAT HE IS DOING IN THEIR LIVES. TWO OF MY OTHER FAVORITE PEOPLE CAME BY, SANDY AND BOYTER (YES, THAT IS HER LAST NAME BUT JESSICA HER FIRST NAME). IT IS JUST SO COOL TO HAVE FRIENDS LIKE THEM. WE HAVE HAD SO MANY MEMORIES TOGETHER THAT I WILL NOT FORGET. ON MONDAY MORNING, I GOT UP AT 6:00 TO GO HAVE BREAKFAST AT HARDEE'S WITH MICHAEL. I KNOW THAT IT HAS BEEN A WEEK SINCE I HAVE WRITTEN ON THIS THING, BUT I HAVE LITERALLY HAD ANY TIME TO SIT DOWN AND DO THIS. VOLLEYBALL IS IN THE DEAD MIDDLE OF THE SEASON, THE MIDDLE OF THE SEMESTER IS APPROACHING, AND I HAVE LEARNED WHAT 15 MINUTE CAT NAPS ARE (SOMETIMES LONGER). HOWEVER, I AM ENJOYING WHAT I DO, JUST A LOT OF TIME INVOLVED. AFTER TODAY, I WILL BE GETTING A BREAK BECAUSE WE HAVE NEXT MONDAY AND TUESDAY OFF FOR FALL BREAK. THAT WILL BE VERY NICE. HOWEVER, I WILL STILL BE WORKING AT WOFFORD.
THIS PAST WEEKEND, MICHAEL AND I LOST A VERY SPECIAL PERSON IN OUR LIVES. MR. WALLACE HENDERSON FOUGHT A LONG BATTLE OF BONE CANCER AND GOD FINALLY TOOK HIM TO BE WITH HIM. MR. WALLACE AND HIS WIFE, MRS. EVELYN ARE PARTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR US BEING TOGETHER. MRS. EVELYN WILL HAVE A SPECIAL PART AT OUR WEDDING ON JUNE 3RD. MR. WALLACE WAS ALWAYS THE EXAMPLE THAT WE NEEDED TO LIVE BY AS CHRISTIANS. NO MATTER HOW BAD HE FELT, YOU WOULD ALWAYS SEE HIS SMILING FACE EVERY SUNDAY AT CHURCH. MR. WALLACE, YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED ALWAYS. MRS. HENDERSON IS ALSO A MIMIC OF THAT AND I ADMIRE HER FOR HER WITNESS AND LOVE FOR MISSIONS.
AT THE BEGINNING OF THE WEEK, PAUL AND KELLIE VISITED SOUTHERN SEMINARY. IT WILL BE SAD TO SEE THEM GO, BUT I KNOW THAT GOD WILL USE THEM IN A MIGHTY WAY. MICHAEL AND I WILL HAVE TO DO THAT SOON.
AFTER I WRITE THIS, I WILL BE GOING TO LAB AND THEN MY LAST CLASS OF THE WEEK. YEAH!

Hello to all as I sit in the busy training room at Wofford. This weekend Paul and Kellie came home to visit on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, mom cooked a wonderful dinner. Then Kellie is so crazy because she has sooo many bride books. I have not gone that crazy. However, she is on the ball with stuff. Paul and her are preparing for their trip next weekend as they go to Louisville to look at the seminary. I think they are pretty certain that they are going there. This weekend will confirm this. YESTERDAY WAS INDEED A BUSY DAY! I WORKED UNTIL 6, BUT ENJOYED IT AS I MOST OFTEN DO. HOWEVER, MOM CALLED ME AND SAID THAT DAD WAS GOING TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM. SHE SUSPECTED HE MIGHT HAVE A BLOOD CLOT. HOWEVER, PRAISE THE LORD, HE HAD A BAKER'S CYST ON THE BACK OF HIS KNEE AND IT HAD LEAKED FLUID. HE IS GOING TO HAVE TO BE OFF HIS FEET FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS! PRAY FOR THAT BECAUSE HE WILL BE AT HOME AND DOES NOT LIKE TO SIT DOWN FOR 2 SECONDS. ANYWAYS, MICHAEL CAME FROM GWOOD. WE ACTUALLY HAD A DATE!!! IT WAS THE FIRST ONE SINCE AUGUST 17TH WHICH IS MY BIRTHDAY. HOWEVER, WE JUST HUNG OUT AND WENT OUT TO EAT. WE WATCHED FEVER PITCH!! IT IS A GREAT MOVIE! WE RECOMMEND IT! YES. IT IS OFFICIAL. MY LITTLE BROTHER BY ONE YEAR PROPOSED LAST NIGHT TO HIS NOW FIANCE, KELLIE PADGETT, ABOUT 11 O'CLOCK. HE TOOK HER TO OLIVE GARDEN, THE ROPER MOUNTAIN SCIENCE CENTER TO LOOK AT STARS, AND THEN TO A PARK IN GREENVILLE WHERE HE PROPOSED WHILE TWO OF HER BEST FRIENDS FROM SCHOOL TOOK PICTURES. HE SAID THAT IT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN ANY BETTER. I ASKED HIM IF HE REMEMBERED EXACTLY WHAT HE SAID, AND OF COURSE, PAUL SAID NO BUT THAT SHE SAID YES. HOW AWESOME! THE WEDDING WILL BE ON JULY 15, 2006. YES, THAT IS SIX WEEKS AFTER MINE. MOM AND DAD WILL BE VERY BUSY NEXT SUMMER.

My weeks consist of getting up with mom at 6 am in the morning and not getting home sometimes until 9 or 10 at night. This makes for long days, but I really do enjoy what I am doing at Wofford. The people that I work with are great and help me out a great deal. Candace, Elizabeth and myself are the three Grad Assistants working under two other Athletic Trainers. It was very nice today because Elizabeth and I stuck our feet in the Hot Whirlpool for about 10 minutes. She said that we needed a break and so we took it.
Today, for class, we went to Croft State Park to find parasites on deer for class and for my lovely parasite collection that another graduate student and myself have to do. Anyways, this was quite interesting.
